Personality Profile

Im my AgEd 404 class (ag leadership) we took the Myer-Briggs test to determine our personality profile. Then we had a speaker come to our class and give a presentation about how the results are determined. We were looking at the results from a leadership prospective with the thought that we need to understand ourselves before we understand others.

Some people didn't think they're results were as accurate. I however, was scared. Mine was right on the money! I got a 12 page report all about "me." Here are some of my characteristics:

  • Known as the "caretaker" or "provider"
  • 13% of the population shares this type
  • concerned about peace and co-operation among people
  • no-nonsense, very practical and conventional
  • sentimental and caring
  • does not take indifference and rejection well
  • pays attention to detail
  • high expectations of self and others
  • dependable
  • can't say "no."
  • becomes easily overwhelmed
  • very aware of other's feelings - not comfortable with conflict
  • outgoing and sociable
  • loyal, disciplined, and organized
  • needs to feel needed and wanted
  • doesn't like dealing with theories and concepts. Prefers facts and realities
  • needs advance notice of change to be able to adjust
  • keeps everyone well informed
  • expect others to obey authority
  • needs to know what is expected of oneself
  • needs a schedule and deadlines
  • considers people first, next examines the facts, then looks at the larger picture and finally applies logic
  • becomes easily stressed when feels misunderstood, distrusted, undervalued, or not taken seriously
  • may feel vulnerable and unworthy
  • enjoys working with people and the ability to pay close attention to their needs and wants
  • delivers humor, enthusiasm and attentive organization to a group
  • irritated by members of a group who waste time and interrupt
I think it would be interesting for everyone that's close to you to take the test. We might understand each other a little better and appreciate our differences.

That is so interesting! Are you going to have Jay take one? I took one online, but I wasn't able to get results like yours. That's so neat how it summed you up so well.
