Last weekend Jay wasn't scheduled to work or Friday or Saturday (which was a first in a long time!) and I was just finishing my week of Spring Break. We decided to take full advantage of this unusually free weekend by taking a camping trip to Santa Margarita Lake. Turns out that Ethan and Anna were also planning a camping trip so we decided to go together!
Jay and Anna got up early and fished (with no luck) for several hours. Ethan and I stayed behind and had fun exploring the lake and wildlife. The early morning fog was really pretty on the lake!
We head the 'gooble-gooble-gooble' noises early in the morning from our tents. Later Ethan and I discovered a tree with eleven of these huge turkey vultures hanging out. This picture reminds me of one of my favorite scenes from Jungle Book...

A pretty view near our campsite.
I also found this tree which reminded me of a certain 'Hunny Tree'...

Saturday afternoon we took the boat out for some more fishing and relaxation. It was wonderful!
Me n' my sweetie :)
Ethan was quite the entertainment with his goofy hat. It kept blowing off his head when we would go fast and the string around his neck would choke him. It also kept flipping up like an umbrella does on a windy day as you can see here.
Anna was rather happy, even for not catching a single fish! ;)
I was desperately trying to catch a little vitamin D as well as some color. I will proudly say that I have a faint tan line on my legs from my shorts (even though they're still white).
Saturday night after camping we went to Poly for some bowling.
Even though Jay kicked all of our tooshies, it was a good time.
