Recent Happenings

We spent a weekend camping in the beautiful Carmel. We had a great time relaxing, sight seeing, strolling downtown, and hanging out with Jay's buddy, Alex. Of course the trip also included a short drive up to San Fran to see a Giants baseball game.

Next time I'll remember to bring cooking utensils.
Melting plastic forks are not so good!

A fun restaurant that we ate at after the game with Alex and Gio.
Although I will say that the huge cracks in the sealing because
of the
hanging motorcycles were a bit scary...

This is my coveted Miniature Horse that I will someday own.
I like to make occasional trips to visit him :)
Still trying to think of a name...
Ideas are welcome!

My wonderful husband turned 24! Although his birthday fell in the middle of a school and work week, I tried my best to make special for him. His best friend Alex even drove all the way from Monterey for Jay's birthday dinner. Here's to another great year ahead, I love you, sweetheart!

Our nephews' birthdays are three days apart. It always
makes for a great weekend! This year we rode a train to a
pumpkin patch.
Here are more pictures if you're interested.

And in latest news, my best friend Megan and her husband
welcomed Tyson into their family!
We're so happy for them!
Everyone is healthy and doing well. Can't wait to meet the little guy in person!

Summer Weekends

This summer we've been fortunate enough to be able to spend several weekends in Clovis visiting my family. These pictures are from the last trip we took this past weekend. It was a 3-in-1 deal: best friend's baby shower, mom's birthday, and my grandpa's birthday.

This is my long-time (since 4th grade) best friend Megan.
Her and her husband are expecting their first - a boy!

Saturday evening we went out to dinner at P.F. Changs. Yumm!

One of my favorite things about my family is that
we always play games together, and have fun doing it!

I had to post this picture of my dad because his expression is hilarious!

I know it's hard to read, but the candles say 93 and 53
for my grandpa and mom's birthday

Check out that flame!

My dad promised to sell two of his motorcycles and
remodel their master bathroom for her birthday gift.
Pretty sweet deal if you ask me!

Sea World

We were able to spend a few days in San Diego for our friend's, Rob and Mariah Platou, wedding. The sealing was very sweet and powerful. It was a beautiful day, and Mariah looked gorgeous! Unfortunately I didn't have the camera, so all I got were a few pictures on my cell phone. After the sealing we spent two days playing at Sea World. The shows and exhibts were fabulous! It brought me back to my childhood (and current) dream of training the dolphins, otters, and whales. Friday night we headed up to LA. We were able to go to Stake Temple Day and it was so neat seeing friends inside the temple. On our way home, we even made a special stop to look at my much loved miniature horses in Solvang! It was a great trip because of the combination of spiritual and fun. I only wish it had been longer!

For lame people like us who don't bring a camera,
Sea World offers very expensive pictures
.
At least they turned out good!
(besides the scanning quality)
